1.    University of Peshawar

The second-ranked university in Pakistan is the University of Peshawar, established in 1950 as the country’s first university following independence. Six academic faculties specialising in the social, medical, and natural sciences offer undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees.

5.    Faisalabad’s Government College

In Karkhana Bazar, Faisalabad, the Government College University Faisalabad had humble beginnings as an elementary school. It changed its status from old in 1905 to an intermediate college in 1924. In 1933, degree levels were launched, and in 1963, postgraduate disciplines. It was designated an independent institution by the Punjabi government in 1990 and attained its status in 2002.

6.    Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan

This was founded in 2009 and was named for the British Indian and then Pakistani secular democratic socialist and Pashtun leader Abdul Wali Khan.
